Despite not wanting to comment any more, after toady's events ,have been so angry I have to vent. So after a nice relaxing bath and with a whisky to hand, to the latest developments in the train wreak LPUK has become.
First off, at lunchtime the news that former chairman Nic Coome had submitted papers to the electoral commission to de-register the party. This has been blocked for now but the fact that him (and Andrew Withers) would rather do this than hand over to others speaks volumes. I do not know the nature of the relationship between these two do think the way Nic has behaved throughout this has been appalling, and can only guess at his motivations.
The when i get home I see Ken has posted his view's on the Anna Raccoon site. Nothing he said was a surprise to me, and it was pretty much his treatment that lead me to conclude resignation would be the end result (I backed publication of Nic's report mainly because had given up on the rest of the NCC and though best to get something out and see what happened.)
Have also been asking myself the same question he raised about 'why LPUK funds appear to have been used to fight an uncontested parish council election on an “Independent” platform.' Sadly I doubt will ever get an answer.
Since my last post my view has swung further to the 'kill it now' view, though as am going to the meet up tomorrow I may change my mind again and think there is something worth saving. If nothing else it is legally possible to stand as a Libertarian on the the ballot, if could turn into to a minimal structure to keep that option open to people who would otherwise have to be independents could be useful.
